    Hi, Adam,

I had just finished listening to “The Big Tooth”. It’s very interesting to look at how Jack adapted a radio episode of “Dragnet” and replayed on television. Just to make sure it was the same episode I pulled out my 20 episode collection of “Dragnet” on VHS I bought some years ago on eBay, and there it was. On television, the episode was entitled “The Big Glass”; basically the story is the same, Mrs. Shroeder turned up missing and Friday and Smith discovered that Mr. Shroeder had murdered her and tried to hide the evidence. Unlike the radio version, “The Big Tooth”, it was Joe Friday who discovered the burned remains of Mrs. Shroeder’s glasses in the pile of ashes, instead of Frank Smith finding her bridge work. Other than that and the title, it was the same episode.
